design thinkingWorkshops on "effective communication and social participation in climate actions using the Design Thinking method" were held remotely in response to the need to implement innovative climate actions. During the workshops, the Design Thinking method was used to provide participants with the necessary skills and tools to conduct local climate initiatives. The event was carried out in cooperation with the Social Innovation Workshop Foundation.

During two days of workshops (February 27-28, 2024), participants took part in interactive training sessions to expand their climate communication skills. Theory was integrated with practical exercises, enabling active participation and the opportunity to use the acquired knowledge in practice. On the second day, participants engaged in group work focused on preparing a climate education project, which formed the basis for discussions about discovering innovative solutions and a common approach to solving climate challenges in different communities.

The event allowed for establishing new contacts, offering participants the opportunity to discuss, cooperate and exchange ideas. The recipients of the event were representatives of Polish local governments and Ambassadors of the European Climate Pact. Active participation in the event was confirmed by obtaining a certificate.

The workshop is organised within the framework of the European Climate Pact funded by the European Commission and the OwnYourSECAP project (Support to regional and local authorities in the development and implementation of the SECAP Plan), funded by the LIFE+ Environment and Climate Financial Instrument under grant agreement No. 101077109.
