CaPABle course on renovation of public buildings
A new training course developed as part of the CaPABle project (full name: Building Capacity of Public Authorities towards meeting Public Building stock Renovation challenges, funded by the Erasmus+ program), for municipal officials, technicians, administrators and actors interested in the topic of building decarbonization, is now freely available online.
The training materials have been developed to raise the competence and develop the skills of public and private entities to improve the energy performance of public buildings.
Second partners meeting within the CommitClimate project
On March 7-8, 2024, the second partners' meeting of the CommitClimate project was held in Tallinn. The overall goal of the project is, among other things, to improve the competence of local government representatives in the area of energy transition and to develop a new computer simulation model for calculating carbon footprints and modeling scenarios for reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the future.
Empowering Climate Action: Insights from the Innovative Design Thinking Workshop
Workshops on "effective communication and social participation in climate actions using the Design Thinking method" were held remotely in response to the need to implement innovative climate actions. During the workshops, the Design Thinking method was used to provide participants with the necessary skills and tools to conduct local climate initiatives. The event was carried out in cooperation with the Social Innovation Workshop Foundation.

On 20 February 2024, The Romanian Network of Energy Cities / OER organized a webinar focused on efficient communication to involve the local communities in the common effort for climate action. More than 50 participants were present and engaged in the topic of this event, a part of the Ready4NetZero project.
Niepołomice against energy poverty
Niepołomice has been supporting its residents in the sustainable use of energy for many years, including through programs that finance solar installations on private buildings. In 2023, the municipality launched a Technical Support Program called "Energy cooperatives as an answer to the problem of energy poverty in Niepołomice." As part of this cooperation, work is being carried out in Niepolomice to ensure a just energy transition and combat energy poverty among residents.

Nearly 60 participants were interested in the fourth webinar, organized as part of the Ready4NetZero project, on 30 January 2024. They were able to learn more about the path of the Rhein-Hunsrück-Kreis region, which has become a benchmark for climate protection and energy innovation.
How to support energy-sensitive consumers? - A summary of the EnergyMeasures project
On January 17, 2024, the closing event of the EnergyMeasures: Supporting Households at Risk of Energy Poverty project was held in Brussels, summarizing more than 3 years of the consortium's work to improve the energy efficiency of households at risk of energy poverty by raising residents' energy awareness, changing their habits and applying low-cost energy saving measures. The event was an opportunity to summarize the project's activities and results, which were presented by coordinator Dr. Niall Dunphy of University College Cork. After this introduction, the assembled participants had the opportunity to watch a documentary film, which was produced during the project and allows one to approach the implementation of the tasks from the point of view of sensitive audiences in the involved regions, as well as the most important insights of the experts:
