Obraz1We would like to invite you to participate in a free online course on Community Energy Espresso Training. The course is designed for all representatives of local and regional government, and in particular for those interested in developing energy communities, which can be a good tool to serve both local authorities and all citizens in many ways.

The course consists of 4 modules, each containing a variety of texts, videos, interviews, practical tasks and tests, with the aim of improving learning effectiveness and actively engaging participants in the topics covered. Topics covered in each module are:

  1. Introduction to energy communities - the European and Polish legal frameworks defining energy communities, the local benefits of energy communities, the arguments behind local government support for these investments and how local authorities can actively participate in their activities.
  2. Funding basics - how to prepare a financial strategy, the different options for financing investments, and the methods by which municipalities can help energy communities meet their financial needs.
  3. Communication - methods to facilitate dialogue with residents, tips to improve communication about energy communities, and ways in which municipalities and energy agencies can facilitate the work of these communities.
  4. Opportunities to use public resources - public facilities as ideal locations for local energy communities, legal and non-legal opportunities for their use and how to identify their potential.

The knowledge gained during the course will enable, among other things:

  • understanding what energy communities are and the opportunities they bring,
  • choose the most beneficial sources of funding for your community,
  • learn methods to facilitate dialogue with local residents,
  • identifying appropriate public resources and making them available to local energy communities.

In addition to the core modules, the course offers a number of additional resources to provide specific information, comprehensively explaining particular issues. In addition, course participants have access to a discussion forum where they can share their thoughts and concerns.

At the end of the course, certificates of participation will be provided for all participants as confirmation of the knowledge acquired in the field of energy communities.
