We are pleased to invite you to participate in a training course on environmental aspects related to the development of small district heating networks using renewable energy sources, organized within the framework of the ENTRAIN project, funded by the Interreg Central Europe program. The event will take place on January 25, 2022, from 10:00 - 12:30, and will be conducted in an online format (via the Zoom Webinar platform).
This is the third event in a series of trainings designed for representatives of municipalities and other entities involved in district heating to provide knowledge transfer in the above-mentioned area. During this meeting, we will focus on environmental topics, including an analysis of selected technologies for cleaning gases from energy conversion processes, fuel diversification in CHP, or the overall impact of district heating on clean air and climate. A good practice will be presented by a representative of the Municipal Heat Supply Company in Cracow, who will talk about a pilot project to use heat pumps as a solution for buildings beyond the reach of the district heating network.
The main objective of the ENTRAIN project is to increase the competence of public authorities to develop and implement local strategies and action plans to develop small-scale district heating systems using renewable energy sources, thus contributing to: reducing the use of fossil fuels and reducing CO2 emissions, improving local air quality, socio-economic benefits from increased technical knowledge, initiating new investments and proposing innovative mechanisms and tools for their financing. More about the project can be found on our website and on the project website.
