On February 25-26, 2026, the Copernicus Science Centre in Warsaw hosted the Clean Air Forum 2026 – a nationwide event dedicated to improving air quality and the energy transition. During the event, representatives of public administration, local governments, social organizations, experts, and practitioners in environmental protection had the opportunity to exchange experiences, present best practices, and explore effective solutions to combat smog and improve air quality in Poland.
The event addressed topics such as the energy transition, building thermal modernization, reducing pollutant emissions, and the role of local governments in promoting clean air. Thematic workshops and panel discussions also formed an integral part of the forum, allowing participants to gain practical knowledge and exchange experiences.
Representatives of our Association actively participated in the event – Zofia Michlowicz participated in a workshop on regional hydrogen systems, and Anna Fijas co-led a workshop on "Developing SECAP/ECAP+ Plans at the Local Level," presenting key issues related to SECAP implementation. The forum was organized with the support of, among others, the European Climate Pact, whose Ambassadors actively participated in the event. The first day was attended by Adam Struzik, Marshal of the Mazovian Voivodeship, while the second day was attended by Rafał Trzaskowski, Mayor of Warsaw, and Jakub Wiech, who spoke on a panel on effective communication about smog.
