We would like to invite you to read the latest publication prepared within the framework of the project ‘DUET: Driving Urban Energy Together’. The presented good practices are the result of the exchange of experiences during study visits that took place, among others, in Hamburg, Dresden and Bydgoszcz.
In an era of increasing climate change and the growing need for sustainability, effective urban energy management is becoming a priority for local governments, businesses and public institutions. The guidebook 'Energy Management in the City: Best Practices' is not only a collection of information about interesting investments, but above all a source of inspiration that shows how to implement modern energy efficiency solutions.
In the course of reading, the reader can become familiar with detailed descriptions of innovative technologies that can make a significant contribution to reducing energy consumption and operating costs. Examples such as the Technology Centre ‘Energy Campus Hamburg’ or the intelligent energy management systems used in several of the facilities described in Bydgoszcz show how cities can effectively implement and use renewable energy sources and modern building management systems.
The publication shows solutions that are not only beneficial to the environment, but also have a real impact on improving the quality of life of residents. The revitalisation of historic buildings, such as the Rother's Mills in Bydgoszcz and the construction of the modern Astoria sports complex, are examples of how appropriate energy management can create functional and efficient spaces, thereby minimising environmental impact.
We wish you an enjoyable and fruitful read!
