Large-Scale Heat Pumps in District Heating Systems – Study Visit to Austria
How can heat pump-based district heating accelerate the decarbonisation of district heating networks? Partners of the SUPPORT DHC and ENABLE DHC projects explored this question during a study visit held on 24-25 February 2026. Participants had the opportunity to learn about the practical applications of large-scale heat pumps and their integration into district heating systems in Gleisdorf and Vienna.
2nd European Climate Pact Forum
The 2nd Forum of the European Climate Pact, held on February 24, 2026, at the European Commission Representation in Warsaw, has concluded. For another year, we had the pleasure of organizing this unique event, bringing together experts and leaders working on climate issues. This year's edition was attended by 35 Ambassadors and Partners, who actively participated in discussions and exchanged experiences. It was a day full of inspiring conversations and concrete examples of actions that truly support climate transformation.
Welcoming new Ambassadors and Partners of the European Climate Pact
On February 17th, an online meeting for new Ambassadors and Partners of the European Climate Pact was held. During the event, we presented the activities of our Association and discussed our role as the National Coordinator of the European Climate Pact in Poland.
During the meeting, participants learned about the Pact's mission and vision, as well as opportunities to engage in its activities. They also learned about the applicable rules, communication channels and planned events.
TWINUP4CE Kick-off Meeting
On 3-4 February 2026, the kick-off meeting of the TWINUP4CE project, co-funded by the Interreg Central Europe programme, took place in Kranj. Ten representatives from five partner organisations from Slovenia, Croatia, Poland, the Czech Republic, and Hungary met for the first time to plan activities focused on aligning workforce competencies with current and future labour market needs, as well as enhancing the readiness of both employed and unemployed individuals to face the challenges of green and digital transformation.
From Information to Action: Effective Climate Communication at the Local Level – webinar highlights
In recent years, it has become increasingly clear that information alone is not enough to encourage residents to take climate action. That is why effective communication, which builds trust and shows residents that change is possible here and now at the municipal or city level, is gaining importance. These issues were the focus of the webinar “From Information to Action: Effective Climate Communication at the Local Level”, held on January 28, 2026, on Zoom. The event brought together representatives from local governments, NGOs, and public institutions interested in building effective communication models and providing real support to residents in the energy transition.

The EU- funded, REPOWER REGIONS project consortium is pleased to announce the publication of its first deliverable: the Landscape Analysis Report. This report provides a comprehensive overview of the technological, regulatory, and skills landscape shaping Europe’s heating and cooling (H&C) transition, at a time when the sector is undergoing rapid and systemic change.
REPOWER REGIONS aims to upskill the European workforce to deliver clean, efficient, and resilient heating and cooling solutions supporting the energy transition, reducing emissions, and strengthening regional innovation capacity across Europe.
Transformation of the heating sector at the local level – summary of the webinar
On 16 December 2025, a webinar entitled ‘Energy transition of the heating sector at the local level’ was held, organised by the Association of Municipalities Polish Network „Energie Cités”. The event gathered representatives of local governments, the heating sector, expert institutions and organisations supporting the energy transition, who discussed the challenges and practical solutions for local heating systems.
Building Renovation and Energy Efficiency. Synergies, strategies and local success stories from the CEE region – Knowledge Exchange Event highlights
The topics of challenges and practical solutions in the field of building renovation and improving their energy efficiency inspired the exchange of experiences and presentation of various strategies during the knowledge exchange event entitled “Building Renovation and Energy Efficiency. Synergies, strategies and local success stories from the CEE region”, which took place on December 10, 2025, in Krakow. The event gathered representatives of local governments, experts, and practitioners from Poland and other countries in Central and Eastern Europe, creating a space for presenting the latest analyses, experiences, and inspiring examples of renovation. The focus was primarily on the challenges associated with the retrofitting of public buildings and the pursuit of ways to ensure that renovation processes lead to measurable energy and social results.
SupportDHC partners meet in Krakow: challenges and directions for the transformation of district heating
On 28 and 29 October 2025, partners of the SupportDHC project gathered in Kraków for a productive two-day consortium meeting. With the project entering its final year, participants reviewed progress across all work packages and aligned on the key activities.

Creating Pilot Clean Energy Transition Assistance Centers – CETAC Project Consortium Meeting
On 21-22 October 2025, the third meeting of the CETAC (Clean Energy Transition Assistance Centres) project partners took place at the Vilnius City Hall. This time, the event was hosted by the Lithuanian organisation Amiestas (Viesoji Istaiga “Atnaujinkime Miesta”). The project meeting, combined with a study visit, brought together representatives of partner organisations from the Czech Republic, Germany, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Romania and Ukraine. Poland was represented by representatives of our Association and the City and Municipality of Serock.
