The second meeting of the Local Advisory Team was held on April 28, 2022 at the City Hall in Bielsko-Biala. It was opened by President Jarosław Klimaszewski. The event was an excellent opportunity to summarise the previous activities and results of the S3UNICA project, which promote and implement intelligent energy-saving solutions on university campuses. University representatives had the opportunity to learn about European good practices and current funding opportunities in the field of energy efficiency and environmental education in secondary and higher education.
The second part of the meeting focused on the cooperation between Bielsko's universities and the Municipal Office. During the discussion, that issue was raised by indicating possible connection areas and the selection of common activities and tasks. Initial proposals for actions were presented. During the event, there was also a pre-premiere of a movie presenting how the city of Bielsko-Biala works in the field of energy conservation and sustainable development. Two new institutions have also joined the team: Bielsko-Biala School of Finance and Law and he Combined Schools of Commerce and Technology, whose authorities briefly presented their activities in the area of energy efficiency and environmental protection as well as expectations related to involvement in the project.
Representatives of the Local Advisory Team will have an excellent opportunity to present their good practices during the international exchange of experiences, which takes place at the beginning of June. A study visit is also planned to show solutions in the field of energy efficiency used at Krakow's universities - AGH UST Center of Energy and Małopolska Energy Efficient Building Laboratory PK.
