On Friday 05 December 2008 16:00 - 17:30 in Poznan a “Food for Thought session” was held by our Association in parallel with the 14th Conference of the Parties  - COP 14. This session entitled "Renewables make the difference" was a part of the day focused on renewable energy.

First speaker, Maria Stankiewicz, director of PNEC office, reported renewable energy prognosis of European Commission till 2020 and the role of PNEC in RES promotion in Poland. Iwona Korohoda presented the new European project “Towards front-runner municipalities – Renewable Energy Sources Champions League” (in which PNEC is a partner) and Anna Jaskuła – MODEL project (Management Of Domains related to Energy in Local authorities) implemented since 2007.

At the end of this session the barriers and perspectives of RES use in Poland and Europe were discussed.
